Studio Toyz is a custom creator of studio gadgets. The Phantom is a wireless remote controlled mic stand for producers and engineers to really make life easier. Any time a new singer goes to the mic, just press a button to raise or lower the mic to the right height. For example, a singer wants to sit on a stool and sing for a while, no problem, just adjust the mic accordingly. If they stand back up... adjust again.

What is the Phantom Mic Stand? The Phantom consists of a high quality mic stand driven by a motor. The mic stand runs off a volt 12 volt DC adapter. A handheld remote contains two buttons: Up and Down. Pressing a button makes it move in the direction chosen. I originally desinged the system for wireless only, but due to the device already being very pricey, I am only using a wired remote now to reduce costs. The system uses XLR cables on the remote and mic stand, allowing the use of existing mic patch panels and patch bays if desired. Otherwise, you must run a mic cable between the remote and mic stand. The mic stand is made by QuikLok, and is a A50 studio tripod boom model with rollers.

Total travel is 18 inches.
